(Note: Sydney has three kits. I will RP them on this account thanks to the permission from Cinderstar)
The twoleg's snores notified the Siamese she-cat that it was asleep. The cat knew what would happen if she left her kits here any longer. It had happened to her before. Carefully she picked up the weakest kit and nudged the other out into the open air. Snow drifted down clumsily and she shivered. The pale ginger and white kitten that she held in her jaws let out a squeak of protest as she slipped under the fence. Carefully she placed the kit down in the snow and grabbed a small white kit by the scruff, hauling it out from under the fence before moving on to a little grey and white tabby tom.
Gently she gathered up the shivering bundle of ginger and white fur she had been carrying before and padded onward once more. She knew not where she was, nor did she know where she was headed, but one thing she did know was that she had to leave, and that was knowledge enough. The kitten she carried let out another squeak as it banged against the diamond that clung to Sydney's collar. Its okay Ebony, settle down. We'll soon be safe and warm. Her voice was soothing and seemed to have reured the kit, but Ebony wasn't the only one she was trying to reure, she was trying to calm herself as well.
The she-cat gasped as she heard the twoleg call her name, along with her kits. Sydney! Ebony! Crystal! Ash!
Ash, the oldest of the kittens grabbed Sydney's tail in his jaws and tugged at it. Mamma, what about our owners, they're calling us. Shouldn't we go back? he mewed, tugging his mother's tail once more. Sydney just simply flicked her tail away and looked back at him. No darling, we can't stay. I can't bare to loose you. With that she walked on, still holding Ember in her mouth. Ash tipped his head to the side in confusion.
After a while of walking he shivered. Mamma, I'm cold he complained, suddenly clamping his jaw shut and breaking into a run to keep up with Sydney as a dog's bark could be heard not far off.
The little ginger and white kit pricked her ears as her mother spoke to her in a soothing voice. "Its okay Ebony, settle down. We'll soon be safe and warm." Unable to speak yet, and being to young to open her eyes she just wriggled into a tighter ball, letting out a faint hiss as the cold diamond hit her again.
She pricked her ears as her housefolk spoke, her brother, Ash, speaking not too long after them. "Mamma, what about our owners, they're calling us. Shouldn't we go back?" Ebony let out a squeak of agreement and then another as her mamma spoke, not sure what side to take.
"Mamma, I'm cold" her brother complained again. Why won't he be quiet already? she thought, curling up tighter and letting out a squeak of protest as Sydney broke into a panicked trot at the sound of a dog barking. She pricked her ears hearing her siblings break into a run beside their mother, trying vainly to keep up.
Crystal trotted along side her mother, trying desperately to keep up. Mouse-dung! she spat as she tripped over a rabbit hole, hidden in the snow. Quickly she scrambled up, breathing rapidly as the dog's bark sounded again, then feeling a wave of relief wash over her as she realized it was fainter this time.
She had ignored her brother's complaining, even though she agreed with him. Carefully she nuzzled her sister's small ginger and white fur as her mother slowed to a walk once more. Mamma, Ebony's shivering but she boiling hot she whispered to Sydney, hoping her brother hadn't heard. I know darling. She's just a little sick, that's_ she was cut off by a cough that forced Ember out of her mouth.
Rapidly Crystal picked up the kit, who let out a cough and shivered. Fortunately for Crystal, Ebony was still tiny, being the only one of the litter to have not opened her eyes yet.
Crystal let out a faint hiss as she heard her brother complain again. "Why do we have to leave? This is useless, there is nowhere warm to stay!" Then with a jolt of fear she realized her brother hadn't moved his mouth at all. She had heard his thoughts! She let out a gasp, slightly muffled by her sister's scruff and drowned out by another cough from the ginger scrap, followed by a louder cough from Sydney. She pressed up against her mother, realizing that she was shivering but heat was still pulsing from her.
